Having raised the back of the boat using floatation barrels, so that the gunwales were above the waterline, we were able to pump the boat out, and floated it. Unfortunately, the weight of the boat with all the mud & silt on board, does not bring the outdrive steering arm above the waterline, and the water pours back in as soon as the pumps are stopped. We therefore turned the boat around, and beached the rear of the boat in the shallow water so that when it went down again, the gunwales would hopefully stay above the waterline, and from your pictures, that is exactly what happened. We will go and pump it out & raise it, hopefully without having to put people in the water. Then with the pumps left running, it can be towed to the marina, and lifted straight out of the water.
