Structured Crew Training
- Although a totally voluntary organisation, we work within the Health & Safety at Work Act
- Assessed & approved by RoSPA inspection
- A RYA Training Centre with Special Endorsements
- Minimum operational standard is RYA II (normally taking 2 months training)
- Safety Boat qualification
- Advanced Power Boat qualification
- First Aid training up to Casualty Handling Status
- VHF Radio
- 'Optional' further training in Swift Water Rescue. This by Rescue 3 at National Whitewater Centre, Bala. To achieve Swift Water Technician status
- Senior members qualified to SRT Advanced, which includes specialist search co-ordination and control management
- Specialist river and bank search training
- Operational crew training is held every Thursday evening & Sunday morning
