We need your help
Do you want to get involved? MISAR is a voluntary organisation and trains predominantly on a Thursday evenings and on Sunday mornings at Upton. If you have the dedication, time and commitment then come along to Upton Marina and drop in for information and a taster day, or call us on the contact number for further information.
Fundraising
MISAR is an entirely self-funding voluntary organisation. Our costs include maintaining and fuelling all vehicles and boats, all training costs, repair and upkeep of personal protection equipment, and monthly station bills. We raise money by providing specialist, regional safety cover for water events, running car boot sales, tin shaking and seasonal events, and all crew will need to help out whenever possible.
Administration
MISAR organises itself internally as well as working within the DEFRA and blue lights emergency framework, and our admin team also manage events coverage, press releases and media management. If this is your forte and you wish to contribute then please contact us.
Crew & Operations
Are you an engineer, do you like tinkering with boats and engines? Even if you cannot be on call or dedicate many Sunday mornings, your experience and help in maintaining vehicles and boats will be invaluable.
